Ways to Give

We rely on your gifts to maintain the vibrant and exceptional learning journey that our students have embarked upon. In the classroom, on the stage or on the playing fields your gift to the school is critical. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Glenelg education but your generosity helps to bridge that gap. We urge you to kindly consider a gift to Glenelg to build on the legacy of philanthropy that has allowed the school to thrive for the last 60 years.

Annual Fund
Our Annual Fund is the school’s lifeblood. It pays for the programs that your child enjoys TODAY. Please make the GCS Annual Fund your first philanthropic priority every year. The school depends on it. Make an annual fund gift now or contact Annual Fund Director Cheryl Neely for more information.

Matching Gift
You may be able to double your donation to Glenelg Country School. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to match charitable contributions made by their employees. Gifts from retirees and spouses may also qualify for a match.

Gifts of Securities
Did you know that you can fulfill your annual pledge to the school by donating stock? Donating appreciated securities to the school’s brokerage account may allow you to avoid capital gains tax and qualify for a charitable tax deduction with a tax savings of more than 20 percent in some cases. To make a gift of stock, please contact our financial advisor Chris Shematek ’98 at Cobalt Financial Partners, LLC 410 309-4200 and inform Development Director Denise Rosson of your impending stock transfer.

Planned Giving
Become a charter member of the Glenelg Country School our planned giving society LEGACY '54 by including GCS in your estate plans. Please contact Cheryl Neely, director of annual and planned giving for more information.

Gifts-in-Kind
