WAYS TO GIVE

ANNUAL FUND gifts are raised from alumni, parents, grandparents, friends and faculty. Funds raised help meet GCS's operating expenses. These important annual contributions help to fund academic programs, financial aid, and building and grounds maintenance. The Annual Fund helps to make up the difference between tuition and the increasing costs of running a school.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN gifts are raised for some special purpose, such as new buildings or endowment funds. Capital campaign gifts are above and beyond regular Annual Fund donations.

ENDOWMENT gifts are placed in a permanent fund that allows only earned income to be spent. The principle is invested. The larger the endowment, the more income GCS will have to support the operating budget.

GIFTS IN KIND are non-monetary contributions such as furnishing, art, computers, musical instruments, books, etc.

MATCHING gifts occur when participating companies match the amount of dollars given by their employees or retirees. The company gives a gift only after the donor has made their gift and completed the company's matching gift form.

PLANNED GIVING is a method of supporting Glenelg Country School's future through estate planning, including GCS in your will, establishing a gift annuity, or purchasing a life insurance policy with GCS as beneficiary.
