Waking Up to Color

Danielle Peterson
Inspiration can be found almost anywhere. Students, faculty, and staff in the Lower School created the Waking Up to Color project to capture images all around that inspires us all. The result is a colorful array of portraits, objects, and nature.

The video is a teaser from the teachers to the students to launch the project. Currently, the students are sending photographs of the colors they are discovering/have seen before, and teachers will create a montage from those photos. In addition to the videos, students at all levels in the Lower School have enjoyed lessons with color/light arts integration. These include lessons on the science of color, color theory and food, color and emotion with writing prompts, and more.
