GCS Completes Suspended Game Victory Over Mt Carmel

Chris Garber
Today Mt Carmel traveled to GCS to complete a suspended game that began on Tuesday, 13 April and went 12 innings and resulted in an 8 - 8 tie when the game was called on an account of darkness. GCS pitcher of record Trey Miller picked up where he left off with another scoreless inning. During the first encounter, he pitched 5 scoreless innings in relief to keep Mt Carmel at bay until the game was called. In the bottom of the 13th inning, Marcus Arterburn led off with a double to left center field. Mt Carmel chose to intentionally walk David Miller. After an out, Brian Hammond delivered a single into left field loading the bases. Tommy Berbert then blasted the game winning hit to deep left field.
