The Rushe Family February Challenge
The Rushe family clearly loves GCS. James and Elizabeth Rushe chose GCS for their daughter Laura ’89. Years later, Laura and her husband Tom Demers wanted their own sons, Thomas ’20 and Jack ’23, to become Dragons. Laura’s brother David and his wife Heidi also chose GCS for their children, David ’13, Jennifer ’16, and Kelly ’20.
GCS has meant something different to every member of the Rushe family, but they all share a deep love of GCS and gratitude for all that the school has given them—an education, incredible opportunities, and a wonderful community. That is why, every year, they are happy to give back to the school by supporting the Annual Fund.
Now, the Rushes are challenging the entire Dragon family to spread that love and join them in giving. They are providing a generous match fund, and all Annual Fund gifts during the month of February will be matched--up to a total of $20,000! That means that your gifts will have double the impact for students and teachers.
The Annual Fund is the school’s most important fundraising priority each year, and we are committed to raising at least $300,000 in operating budget support by June 30, 2019. Every dollar is used by students and teachers, but we need the entire community’s help to reach our goal. Parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, and friends: please join us in sharing your #DragonLove this month.
