In Silver Knights Coding camps, children learn to code using a visual programming language called Scratch. It’s as easy to use as snapping together building blocks! The Digital Animation camp shows kids how to program their own adventure stories, quiz games, and visual art. What’s your story? With Scratch, children learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically. Scratch is designed and maintained by the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. The curriculum teaches new coders the basics, while challenging more experienced coders to create increasingly complex programs. Silver Knights provides a laptop for every child.

Build, code, and have fun with LEGO® WeDo 2.0. Enhance kids’ curiosity and science skills with Silver Knights Robotics. Campers will explore robotics with LEGO® bricks, easy-to-use coding software, and engaging STEM challenges. Campers work in pairs with a tablet and a LEGO® WeDo 2.0 kit that includes over 250 pieces, a SmartHub, motor, and motion and tilt sensors. While they don’t actually go in the water (those pesky electronics!), these bots are inspired by what you will find in or on our oceans, rivers, and beaches. Build a dune buggy, a floodgate, a dolphin, and more! Create your own sea monster with waving tentacles on our last fun-filled, free-build day!
  • Silver Knights Enrichment Robotics: Busybots (Entering Grades 2–7)

    Entering Grades 2–7
    June 29–July 2, 2020 (No camp on Friday, July 3, 2020)
    $500 per week

Build, code, and have fun with LEGO® WeDo 2.0. Enhance kids’ curiosity and science skills with Silver Knights Robotics. Campers will explore robotics with LEGO® bricks, easy-to-use coding software, and engaging STEM challenges. Campers work in pairs with a tablet and a LEGO® WeDo 2.0 kit that includes over 250 pieces, a SmartHub, motor, and motion and tilt sensors. In the BusyBots camp, students will examine bots that are taking care of business. Most robots are designed to do a job and the bots in this unit all have work to do! Build a machine to test how earthquake-proof a structure is, build a paper shredder, and even a dancing bot for when you need a break from work!
  • Silver Knights Enrichment Robotics: Critters and Creatures (Entering Grades 2–7)
