Although we Dragons are apart due to the current circumstances, May 20 will be an opportunity for us to come together virtually in support of our school and each other. Join us for a Virtual Field Day and a Glens vs. Elgs battle based on giving back to GCS.

Follow GCS Facebook all day on May 20 for livestreams of Field Day activities and other surprises!

AND…we may not be able to hold the traditional All-School Relay, but we can choose a champion based on Annual Fund participation! This is undoubtedly a challenging time for the entire GCS community, and the operating budget support of the Annual Fund is as crucial as ever. The Annual Fund supports faculty salaries and professional development so our teachers have the resources they need to shift to online learning, and all the technology and resources our Digital Dragons continue to access, even from their homes.

ALSO...25% of every gift will be designated to a special “Dragons Care Fund” to help members of our GCS community who are directly impacted by COVID-19 and need material support.

AND FINALLY...to jump start this important effort, the GCS Board of Trustees has offered $10,000 in matching funds. Every gift will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $10,000! $7,500 of the matching funds will go to the Annual Fund, and $2,500 will go to the Dragons Care Fund. Thank you, GCS Trustees!

These unique circumstances have given the entire GCS community a chance to join the Glens vs. Elgs competition, and we hope you will join us for a day of Dragon fun and festivity. Check back here on May 20 for the link to give, and GO DRAGONS!

About the Annual Fund
This is undoubtedly a challenging time for the entire GCS community, and the operating budget support of the Annual Fund is as crucial as ever. The Annual Fund supports faculty salaries and professional development so our teachers have the resources they need to shift to online learning, and all the technology and resources our Digital Dragons continue to access, even from their homes. Annual Fund gifts directly benefit GCS teachers and students and remain the primary philanthropic priority for GCS.

About the Dragons Care Fund
The Dragons Care Fund is designed to provide material support (food, supplies, equipment, technology, etc.) to GCS community members directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is not intended for tuition remission or direct financial grants. Head of School Greg Ventre and the GCS Leadership Team, with the support of the Board of Trustees Advancement Committee, is responsible for the management and disbursement of funds and benefits.
